Therapy for High-Achieving Women Who Are Tired of Carrying Everything

You’ve built the life everyone hoped for: you’re successful, responsible, and the person everyone counts on. But underneath it all, you might feel exhausted, guilty, disconnected from yourself, or unsure of what you actually want.

I help high-achieving women work through perfectionism, people-pleasing, and over-responsibility so they can create a life that actually feels authentic and fulfilling.

You might be here because…

  • You are the "strong one" everyone relies on.

  • Saying no feels selfish.

  • You feel responsible for your family's emotions.

  • You achieved everything you were supposed to but still feel unfulfilled.

  • You struggle to know what you want apart from expectations.

  • You love your family but feel trapped by guilt.

A special focus: therapy for adult daughters of immigrants and women in the diaspora.

Many daughters of immigrants learn early on that love, loyalty, and responsibility are intertwined. You may have learned to be the responsible one, to prioritize your family's needs, or to measure your success by how well you're meeting the expectations of others. And there are unique experiences with pressure, guilt, and grief that those in the diaspora carry every day.

Therapy can be a space to explore what you want to keep, what you want to change, and how to build a life that honors where you come from without losing yourself in the process.

A Therapy Approach That Honors All Parts of You

Healing does not mean rejecting your family, your culture, or the values they shared with you. It means creating space to understand yourself more fully and choose what you want to carry forward.

Together, we’ll explore the parts of you that learned to survive through perfectionism, achievement, caretaking, and staying strong for others. Using an approach informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory, values-based approaches, and trauma-informed therapy, we’ll work toward more self-compassion, inner freedom, and healthy boundaries that actually work within the framework of your life or culture.

The goal is not to become someone different. It is to reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been pushed aside while you were busy being everything everyone else needed you to be.

About Me

Hi, I’m Dr. Rosette Elghossain. I’ve always been fascinated by people: their stories, struggles, and triumphs. Growing up between the U.S. and Lebanon, I learned firsthand how culture, family, and life experiences shape who we are. My work is deeply influenced by my understanding of what it means to navigate multiple cultures and identities. As a licensed clinical psychologist with over 12 years of experience, I specialize in the mental health of high-achieving women and adult daughters of immigrants navigating perfectionism, guilt, identity, and the pressure to succeed. I provide virtual therapy to residents of Louisiana, New York, Texas, and Oklahoma.
